Highly Rated 2024 Prize Draw

  1. Definitions

    1. The “Promoter" is: Auto Trader Limited of 1 Tony Wilson Place, Manchester M15 4FN.

  2. The prize draw

    1. The title of the prize draw is the Autotrader Highly Rated prize draw.
    2. Entrants must tweet us on X (formerly Twitter) @ATInsight, tag us on @autotraderinsight on Instagram, and/or post on LinkedIn at Autotrader Insight with a photo/video that features their Highly Rated sticker or a picture of their Highly Rated digital asset, between 10am on Monday 15th July 2024 and 11:59pm on Monday 5th August 2024. Three winners will be selected at random from all entries which comply with these terms and conditions. For each winner, the Promoter will make a £500 donation to a registered charity of the winner’s choice (subject to the Promoter’s approval of such charity, such approval not to be unreasonably withheld) on the winner’s behalf.

  3. How to enter

    1. The prize draw will run from 10am Monday 15th July 2024 (the “Opening Date”) to 11:59pm on Monday 5th August 2024 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
    2. All prize draw entries must be received by the Promoter in accordance with paragraph 3.3 below by no later than 11:59pm on the Closing Date. All prize draw entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
    3. To enter the prize draw, entrants must post a photo/video of their Highly Rated sticker or a picture of their Highly Rated digital asset using a social media account dedicated to the entrant’s vehicle dealership business and using the hashtag #ATHighlyRated on X (formerly Twitter) @ATInsight, Instagram @autotraderinsight and/or LinkedIn Autotrader Insight (as applicable), from 10am Monday 15th July 2024 to Monday 5th August 2024 inclusive.
    4. No purchase necessary. A valid vehicle dealership business X (formerly Twitter), Instagram or LinkedIn account is required and there is no charge to register for use of the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Instagram platform or LinkedIn platform.
    5. The Promoter will not accept responsibility for prize draw entries that are lost, mislaid, delayed, or otherwise not received by the Promoter due to equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
    6. By submitting a prize draw entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
    7. The winning prize draw entries will be selected by random draw.

  4. Eligibility

      1. The prize draw is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over who have received an Autotrader ‘Highly Rated’ 2024 award, except:
      1. employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
      2. employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the prize draw or its administration; or
      3. members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
    2. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the prize draw.
      3. The Promoter will not accept prize draw entries that:
      1. are political in nature;
      2. feature content which is likely to be inconsistent with the brand values of the Promoter or which is otherwise considered offensive or derogatory by the Promoter;
      3. are automatically generated by computer;
      4. are completed by third parties or in bulk;
      5. are illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; and/or
      6. are incomplete.
    4. There is a limit of one entry per person (subject to the remainder of this paragraph) on each of X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and LinkedIn. An entrant can enter the prize draw on one, two or all three platforms. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. Entries can consist of either (i) a photo/video of the entrant’s Highly Rated sticker or (ii) a picture of the entrant’s Highly Rated digital asset. Each entry which consists of a photo/video of the entrant’s Highly Rated sticker shall count as two entries into the prize draw and each entry which consists of a picture of the entrant’s Highly Rated digital asset shall count as one entry into the prize draw. There is therefore a limit of nine entries per person (being an entry consisting of a photo/video of the entrant’s Highly Rated sticker on each of X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and LinkedIn).
    5. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize draw.

  5. The prize

    1. For each winner, the Promoter will make a £500 donation to a registered charity of the winner’s choice (subject to the Promoter’s approval of such charity, such approval not to be unreasonably withheld) on the winner’s behalf. The donations will be made within 30 days of the Announcement Date.
    2. The prize is provided and fulfilled by Autotrader.
    3. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
    4. Prizes are subject to availability and cannot be redeemed for monetary value. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control make it necessary to do so.
    5. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

  6. Winners

    1. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
    2. The Promoter will contact the winners via direct message on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, or LinkedIn (depending on the winning entry route) as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date. The Promoter will not amend any contact information once the prize draw entry form has been submitted.
    3. The winners of the prize draw will be announced on X (formerly Twitter) via @ATInsight, on Instagram @autotraderinsight, and LinkedIn at Autotrader Insight, at 11am on Friday 16th August 2024 (“Announcement Date”).
    4. To claim the prize, each winner must respond to the Promoter’s direct message on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram or LinkedIn, or by emailing SocialMedia@autotrader.co.uk. This must be done by Wednesday 21st August 2024, before 5pm.

  7. Claiming the prizes

    1. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners. If a winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize by Wednesday 21st August 2024 at 5pm, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the eligible entries that were received before the Closing Date.
    2. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

  8. Limitation of liability

    1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

  9. Ownership of prize draw entries and intellectual property rights

    1. All prize draw entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned.
    2. By submitting your prize draw entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
      1. assign to the Promoter all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
      2. waive all moral rights, in and to your prize draw entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
    4. You agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website www.autotrader.co.uk and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the prize draw. You agree to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the prize draw entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-license the prize draw entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.

  10. Data protection and publicity

    1. The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the Autotrader Privacy Policy.

  11. General

    1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.
    2. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
    3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
