What would you do if you won the lottery? Perhaps you’d buy a house in the South of France, start a new business, or maybe you’d splash out on a supercar? For most of us winning the lottery and owning a Lamborghini are both the stuff of dreams, but stranger things have happened, as Rory discovery in this video.
When Rory has a chance encounter and finds himself behind the wheel of Lamborghini’s latest plug-in hybrid he finds out whether the Revuelto is as at home in the suburbs as it is on the track. Could it be as useable day-to-day as other hybrids such as, say, the Toyota Prius? While pitting a Prius against a Revuelto is perhaps an unusual comparison, it highlights two distinct epochs in the story of electrification. When the Prius first launched it quickly became synonymous with hybrid technology, but today it’s not just family-size hatchbacks getting in on the action and performance cars are going hybrid too. Does this mean supercars have lost their edge and become as exciting as an Uber driver’s taxi? Thankfully, the answer is a resounding no! The Lamborghini Revuelto is a supercar for the electrified age. It’s smooth around town and features mod-cons like Apple CarPlay to make life a little bit easier. Yet, with over 1,000 horsepower it becomes a completely different beast once you hit the open road. This raises the question; how would it fare as a taxi? Rory decides to give it a try. However, he gets wrapped up in the Revuelto’s charms enjoying every bend in the road and the symphony from the exhaust. Having driven miles out of his way, he’s late for a job and his detour is going to cost him. You’ll have to watch the video to see what happens. If you enjoyed this video give it a like and let Rory know your thoughts on the Lamborghini Revuelto in the YouTube comments. You can also subscribe for more like it.
