Both Audi and Porsche have recently embraced electrification in spectacular style with a pair of amazing (and equally extravagant) battery-powered models for us to admire. Audi’s RS E-Tron GT is a four-door coupe and its most expensive car yet. The Taycan Turbo is, meanwhile, a performance-packed sports saloon and the foundation of Porsche’s first ever all-electric model range.
While both the cars look different from the outside and are produced by different manufacturers, they are quite similar underneath, given they share the same platform and are built using the same motors, batteries and electrical systems.
You may think that this makes both practically the same, but that’s not entirely true, as Rory explores in this video .
While both the RS E-Tron GT and Taycan Turbo have comparable performance figures the Audi brings greater range to the table at a slightly lower price than the Porsche, the Taycan Turbo making up for it with a wider range of customisation options and a more comfortable driving experience.
All in all, both cars offer some great features at a similar price tag, making it difficult to choose between the two. Watch the video and let us know which one is your favourite.
