More Than A Volkswagen Camper Van - 'Aaron' The Show On The Road T6 Camper Van

Camper vans come in all shapes, sizes and colours - with no better example than ‘Aaron’ the Volkswagen T6 Camper Van featured in the latest episode of Auto Trader’s Show On The Road podcast starring TikTok personalities Caitlin and Leah. Driven by Alex Legouix in the episode, Aaron’s striking yellow and black colour scheme harks back to his former life as an AA breakdown response vehicle.

Aaron is one of the newest additions to London Campers’ Volkswagen T6 Camper Van fleet, named ‘Aaron’ with the double ‘a’ as a nod to his heritage as a former AA breakdown vehicle - hence the yellow and black colour scheme he sports inside and out. He’s been upgraded with all-terrain wheels and a new body kit, and all the camper mod-cons you’d expect (and some you wouldn’t) inside.

Aaron is powered by a 150PS diesel engine with the excellent DSG gearbox directing all that power where it’s needed. He seats five adults inside (3 in the front - as you’ll see in the episode - and two in the back) and can sleep up to four people in either his upstairs or downstairs beds. As a clever bonus, a child can also sleep in the cabin thanks to a bunk bed accessory that can be hired with the vehicle.
The other features include an onboard fridge, cooker, night heater, solar panel on the roof, Bentley leather seats (including the rotating passenger seat), plenty of USB charge points, LED lights, a cold-water sink, full kitchen units, a powerful leisure battery, all-round curtains, storage and a solid interior table. Yes, the Volkswagen T6 Camper Van is a very good camper van. The T6 is the latest widely-available version of the historic vehicles Volkswagen has been manufacturing since the late 1940s.
