This is one of four awards bestowed upon a manufacturer rather than a particular model, and it’s no surprise that our Best Value Brand award goes - for the second year running - to Dacia.
Like all our awards, this category was decided by feedback collated from a survey of more than 60,000 car owners, all of whom rated their car in 16 key areas. That means an Auto Trader New Car Award is a real stamp of approval from people that live with the car day-in, day-out, and it makes each winner a true consumer champion. Here are just a few of the comments owners made about their Dacias…

- “Extremely good value. You get a lot of car for your money with facilities a driver needs, not fancy gimmicks.”
- “It was bought for work but I did not expect to love it as much as I do. It’s very comfortable and a joy to drive.”
- “It does all I need for a reasonable price. It doesn’t try to be anything else but a good car.”
- “It is a great car that takes whatever you want it to do. For the price I paid, you could not ask for more.”
Commenting on Dacia’s win in this category, Auto Trader’s road test editor, Ivan Aistrop, said: “Value is at the very heart of the Dacia brand ethos, and this award shows that the message has not only got through to UK car buyers, but it’s also really struck a chord. Everyone likes to feel like they’ve got a good deal, and with a Dacia, you can be extremely confident that you have. No other car company can offer off you such a large amount of metal for such an impressive price, and that’s a very appealing prospect indeed.”
