You will be contacted by email within seven working days of the prize draw closing. Winners will be contacted by competitions@autotrader.co.uk only. We will not contact you via social media or other platforms. If you are contacted by fake accounts, you should report them according to platform guidelines.

To be eligible to win, you'll need to currently own a full and valid UK driving licence, be aged 18 or over at the time of the prize draw and be able to prove you are a resident of the UK.

Yes, if you win, you’ll have to ensure your new car is registered and insured.

You will need to pay the lowest first year rate of vehicle excise duty (VED) set at £10 from 1 April 2025. From the second tax payment onwards, you will pay the standard rate of £195.

If you win a car through the Auto Trader Electric Car Giveaway, we will contact you directly and arrange delivery or a collection location with you.

If you have off-road parking available, consider installing a home charging point – it’s one of the most convenient and affordable ways to charge an electric car.

If you’re out and about, you’ll have to use one of the many thousands of public charging points. The time it takes to charge can vary depending on the battery you have and the type of charger you’re using.
