Getting a 125cc (A1) motorcycle licence
You must be at least 17 years of age to hold an A1 licence, and once you have passed the two-part test, it allows you to ride a motorcycle or scooter up to 125cc and with maximum power of 11KW.

You must be at least 17 years of age to hold an A1 licence, and once you have passed the two-part test, it allows you to ride a motorcycle or scooter with an engine of up to 125cc and with maximum power of 11KW.
As with the AM licence, once you hold an A1 licence, you do not need to display L plates and you can also carry a passenger. After you have held an A1 licence for two years, you can take a further practical test to qualify for an A2 licence.
