Abarth 500e
The Abarth 500e is a cute two-door hot hatch. Generally intended for city driving, this hot hatch has 18-inch wheels, sporty exteriors and is priced at £38,500.
The 500e has a range of about 155 miles on a single charge. And it comes with a 38 kWh battery which takes about 35 minutes to charge from zero to 80%.
Overall, it’s a fun car with excellent handling.

MG4 XPower
The MG4 XPower is a four-door hot hatch. Priced at £36,500, it is an affordable, electric family car focussed on value.
While it looks like a regular hatchback, the fantastic design and a range of interesting colour combinations make the car stand out that bit further.
The MG4 XPower comes with active vents to keep the battery cool – a feature you don’t even get on a Tesla. And it’s pretty spacious given the price, with a 363 litre boot, underfloor storage and rear seats that fold down.
It may be missing out on some things, for example there isn’t any air con for the backseats, but you probably won’t need it much with the British weather. It offers a 435 horsepower, a range of 239 miles, and comes with a 62kWh battery pack.
Overall, it’s an exciting and powerful car, that comes with sharp looks and modern tech.
