Bond is back – the next James Bond film will be called Quantum of Solace, and will star the stunning Aston Martin DBS, insiders have confirmed.

Producers revealed the title at a special screening held at Pinewood Studios in west London.

Daniel Craig will don the famous tux for his second outing as the super-suave secret agent, and will be joined by British newcomer Gemma Arterton, and Ukrainian model and actress Olga Kurylenko, cast as new Bond girl Camille.

And producers have confirmed the stunning Aston Martin DBS will return in Quantum of Solace.

Producer Michael G Wilson said the title was taken from an original Fleming short story.

He said: “It’s from a Fleming short story from the compendium For Your Eyes Only. It’s uncharacteristic of most of Fleming's work.

“We thought it was an intriguing title that references what’s happening to Bond and what’s happening to him in this film.”

Wilson commented on the action ramping up for Quantum of Solace: “There’s much more action in this film compared to the last film – probably twice as many action sequences. It’s pretty much jam-packed.”

Producers showed a minute long scene with Bond swinging on a rope following an explosion, and another with the head of MI6 – played by Dame Judi Dench – in the snow.

For Quantum of Solace, which means a moment of comfort, Bond is out for revenge, and the movie will pick up where Casino Royale left off.

And the Aston Martin DBS – which Jeremy Clarkson thought of as a harder DB9 – is a star in its own right. The crash scene in Casino Royale won it a place in the Guinness Book of World Records by barrel-rolling seven times on screen.

Quantum of Solace is expected to be released in November 2008.
