A convertible Mercedes CLK 320 previously owned by Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is for sale on Auto Trader.

It’s the second time in the space of three months one of Steven Gerrard’s old cars has appeared on the site following his Range Rover Sport which was snapped up immediately.

Steven Gerrard is Liverpool’s star man. Alongside striking sensation Fernando Torres, the dynamic duo have smashed 51 goals for the Merseyside club this season, leading towards next week’s grudge encounter with Chelsea in the Champions League semi-final.

Super-rich Steven Gerrard is a big petrolhead having previously owned an Aston Martin Vanquish, Bentley Continental and Porsche 911 Turbo. He was recently photographed in a new Overfinch Range Rover.

The Liverpool captain was the first of three owners of the 2004 Mercedes CLK 320 Avantgarde, which is powered by a 3.2-litre engine producing 218bhp and 228lb/ft of pulling power.

This accelerates the German convertible from 0-62mph (100kph) in 8.2 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.

Inside, the Merc features sat-nav, heated leather seats, an integrated phone system, all-round electrics and climate control.

And to sport up the CLK, Gerrard opted for the AMG alloy wheels which cost an additional £1,800.

It’s the second time in a year the Merc has appeared on Auto Trader. We featured it in October when it had covered 39,000 miles and was on the market for £30,000.

But now you can get your hands on the automatic convertible, which now has 45,000 miles on the clock for just £21,950.
