Save money on a new car by choosing one which is cost effective to run, eco-friendly and likely to hold its value.

We look at the top ten least depreciating motors.

Now may seem like a great season to buy a new car, with various deals on new 58 plate registrations just around the corner.

But many buyers may fail to take depreciation into account, and lose money over time.

Martin Keighley, a used car valuation expert for HPI – which provides information on the UK motor industry – said, “Those keen to trade in their current vehicle for something else need to think carefully about their next purchase.”

“It’s really important consumers think about a car’s potential to depreciate before parting with their cash.”
