14 May 2008 We’ve been trawling the web for some great motoring clips, from the funny to the plain unbelievable. This is what we found… The 600bhp Aston Martin Vantage V12 RS Petrolheads were amazed when Aston Martin revealed details of a V12 version of its baby, the Vantage, last year. With a 6-litre V12 engine producing 600bhp, the Aston Martin Vantage V12 RS would be propelled from 0-62mph in 4 seconds and on to a top speed of almost 200mph – making it the fastest accelerating Aston ever. View our Aston Martin Vantage slide show It was only concept, however, but Aston chief Dr Ulrich Bez said if feedback was good they “would seriously consider a low volume production run in the future with a price reflecting the exclusivity of the car.” After a resounding response, Aston announced in March the Aston Martin Vantage V12 RS will see production, with the car expected to appear on the forecourts at the end of 2009, with prices announced later. And now footage of the stunning Aston Martin Vantage V12 RS being driven on a track has surfaced, with the British sports car and sounding superb. Cadillac CTS-V muscle car Earlier this week we revealed how the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V muscle car went round the daunting Nürbürgring in a blisteringly-quick 7 minutes 59 seconds. This is the same time as the 190mph Dodge Viper supercar which features a barmy 8.4-litre V10 engine and 14 seconds quicker than an unofficial lap done by the all-conquering super-saloon, the BMW M5. The Cadillac’s stunning time is thanks to its 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine, which produces a colossal 550bhp. Full production of the Cadillac CTS-V begins in the Autumn with the muscle car going on sale in the UK early next year. The price is expected to be around £50,000.
